Meet the Team

Norwood Davis serves as President at Wesleyan Investment Foundation in Fishers, Indiana. In this role, he leads all operations of the organization which serves more than 2,900 churches across the United States and more than 15,000 investors. With a deep passion to see the local church well led and well resourced, Norwood helps pastors and church leaders realize their God-given vision for their community.

With more than three decades of leadership roles, he has significant expertise in church finance, church construction, strategy and corporate and organizational governance. Additionally, Norwoodleverages his significant experience serving both for profit companiesand not for profit organizations on their Boards of Directors. Currently, he serves on the Boards of the Wesleyan Pension Fund, EQUIP Leadership, the Maxwell Leadership Foundation, Capital City Home Loans, and Overflow.

Norwood and his wife, Aerah, live in Noblesville, Indiana. Norwood is an avid, albeit mediocre, golfer and an avid wing shooter. Norwood & Aerah enjoy traveling, visiting art galleries, and discovering exceptional restaurants wherever they travel. They have two married children and love life as Pappy & Gemma to two grandsons.

Jess Correll is the founding member of First Southern Bancorp, Inc., where he has served as Chairman, President, and CEO since 1988. In addition to leading First Southern, Jess has held key leadership roles across multiple organizations, including serving as Director of UTG since 1999 and as Chairman and CEO of UTG and Universal Guaranty Life Insurance Company since 2000. He is also the President and Director of The River Foundation, a philanthropic organization he has guided since 1990, and President of First Southern Funding, LLC since 1992.

Beyond his corporate leadership, Jess is passionate about advancing Kingdom impact through business and philanthropy. Shaped by a lifelong commitment to biblical stewardship, he and his team have been influenced heavily by Compass and Generous Giving, and have desired to weave these values into all aspects of work.

Jess attended Asbury University, serves on the boards of Friends of the Good Samaritans and the National Christian Foundation, and was inducted into the Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame in 2018. He and his wife, Angela, have won numerous awards for historic preservation in their efforts to help revitalize Stanford, Kentucky’s second oldest city. He is co-founder of The Stanford; a suite of hospitality businesses located on Main Street in Stanford. Jess has three children and six grandchildren.

Alex Keltner joined First Southern in 1994 and has held several leadership roles, including Community President and Chief Banking Officer. He became President of First Southern National Bank in June 2018. A 2014 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado, Alex lives in Russellville, Kentucky, with his wife, Kelly.

Courtney Osbourne is a financial professional with several years of experience in the industry. Known for her analytical mindset, she has a strong track record of enhancing operational efficiency and delivering financial solutions tailored to client needs. Outside the office, Courtney is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking mountain trails, kayaking, and tackling nature’s challenges with the same determination she brings to her work

Colin is a Treasury Management Support specialist, helping business clients with their financial needs. He earned a BS in Finance with a minor in Biblical Studies from Cedarville University. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, golfing, time with loved ones, and serving in ministries at his church in Southern Kentucky.

Lynn Akers is a dedicated Treasury Services Manager with over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Since joining the Treasury team in 2017, she has consistently delivered high-quality financial solutions and operational leadership. Lynn is known for her deep expertise, client-focused approach, and collaborative spirit. Outside of work, she enjoys following her granddaughters’ activities—one a high school cheerleader and the other a volleyball player—celebrating their achievements both on and off the court.

Jacob Carter has served on the Treasury Management team at First Southern since 2018, specializing in financial solutions and client-focused service. He is an active ACH Accredited Professional (AAP) with a background in payments and banking operations.  Outside of work, Jacob is a proud husband and father of three boys who keep life full and lively.

Chris Davis serves as Vice President of Community Outreach at First Southern. With over 15 years of experience in banking, he has spent most of his career focused on small business banking. Chris holds an Associate of Arts in Pastoral Leadership from Valor Christian College and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Ohio Christian University.

He is passionate about building strong relationships with clients and colleagues, working to understand their needs and deliver exceptional service and solutions. Chris lives in Louisville, KY, with his wife and their three children. Outside of work, he enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

Drake Duncan joined First Southern in January 2025, bringing with him a strong passion for helping individuals make wise financial decisions. He resides in Bowling Green, Kentucky, with his wife and their two-year-old son. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing golf in his free time.

Drake began his banking career in Middle Tennessee as a Universal Banker with Franklin Synergy Bank, which later merged with FirstBank. In early 2022, he had the unique opportunity to help launch Lineage Bank in Franklin, Tennessee—an experience that shaped his approach to banking and continues to influence his work today.

Kayla is a Belmont University graduate who has been with First Southern for three years, where she’s passionate about cultivating meaningful relationships with church-focused clients nationwide and supporting their mission. She lives in her hometown of Stanford, KY, with her husband, Hayden, and their daughters, Lively and Sunday.
